Ahead of us lies a summer of regained freedom, and, using good judgement, we will return to going out and to finding excitement in what we wear. Here are the season’s biggest trends that we have picked up on our style radar.
Months of lockdown have taught us that comfort is the key to good living, and we’re seeing proof of this on the runways, as well. Sweatsuits, soft and flowy clothes, low shoes and espadrilles: it’s called leisure wear and no one can do without it, even when in public.
Long, roomy skirts will be all the rage this summer, fresh and cool paired with crop tops that bare the midriff (not for everyone!) Meanwhile, sheer fabrics make their return in the form of shirts and dresses, a delicate call to lightness, just as shades of pink dominate the colour field, a hymn to liveliness.
