A cosmopolitan gaze defines the new sunglass collection by VANNI,inspired by the Highline in New York. Sophisticated, in metal, with a lightweight construction and a retro look, the Highline glasses give a touch of contemporary colour on moulded steel.
Just as New York’s ex elevated train tracks were revived in 2008 as a
nature and art space accessible to the public- becoming a destination for New
Yorkers and tourists alike- VANNI’s Highline collection draws from its own
history and experience, redefining details with a modern feel, incorporating
the essence of the contemporary into its models while always looking towards
the future.
The reference to the train tracks of the famous American urban redevelopment project resides in the ultra-delicate metalwork: the curved foil of the Highline models characterises glasses that are at once distinctive and refined, light and comfortable.
The finish on the front, either matte or glossy, results from skillful manual work carried out on each pair of glasses. The colours of the season present shades of bordeaux, as well as navy blue and turquoise, and a matt black.
The shapes are large and feminine, recalling the eternal butterfly style or the rectangle.
