I think the discussion about the difference between art and design is not the good one. It makes me remember when 10 year ago we talked of the difference between being a sculptor or a painter. The question is what you do in a specific space. I personally work with gallerists, art gallerists. When I'm doing projects in these specific contexts I am showing more small series: it is interesting because I can use laboratories, I can ask carpenter, craft carpenter to do a project that is unique. I cannot do that with industry or mass produced objects. It is interesting to have the possibility of developing those project: after years of uniformation and globalisation we need to get back to the diversity of work. It is hard to find a place where we can do it, companies are now afraid of taking risks because the time is chaotic, we are in between two periods, we do not know about the future. Galleries are very interesting places where you can propose ideas and materialise objects, which will become projects but after another development.
